Everyone loves Nature Lab

Since its opening, Nature Lab has drawn praise from visitors, journalists and competitions alike. We’re pleased to have been part of the team bringing this 6,500-square-foot, hands-on exhibit to life, and are proud of the exhibition’s recognition by SEGD (Merit Award in the 2014 Global Design competition), the American Association of Museums (2014 Excellence in Exhibition Label Writing award) and Communication Arts (inclusion in the 2014 Design Annual).

LA Phil moves music forward

KBDA and LA Phil have worked together on another season campaign, this time launching the 2014–15 season with layered performer portraits meant to evoke the dynamism and emotion of the music itself. This look & feel has been applied to all season materials, including print collateral and street graphics installed around Los Angeles.

Grandes Maestros opens at NHM

This traveling exhibition of Latin American folk art gave KBDA another opportunity to work with the Natural History Museum. The bright, bold look & feel for the exhibition’s marketing campaign highlights the diversity of the objects in the show. The exhibition has garnered stellar reviews from the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and the Los Angeles Times. The Huffington Post named it one of 2014’s top fifteen art exhibits in the world.

Segway LA rolls out a new website

Segway Los Angeles recently launched their new website, designed by KBDA to update the company’s online presence and give customers an immediate sense of the fun, freewheeling experience of riding a Segway PT, whether as a purchase or rental or on one of Segway LA’s highly-rated guided tours. This redesign focuses on user-friendliness, offering online visitors quick and easy access to relevant info via an updated navigation layout and helpful tips and promotional modules placed throughout the site.
